There were special moments of love as each child came home to help care for their precious Father.
Many tears were shed as well as laughter. But all joyed in the journey.

Grandchildren enjoyed seeing their grandpa again.

Before Sam passed away, he greeted his 4th Great Grandchild. The cycle of life goes on.

Sam's Special Nurse

Marie is a medical assistant and very talented in taking care of those she loves and well as others.
Her sweet heart was so broken to know her strong and wonderful Father had cancer and may not last. She has been there for him daily, as she lovingly cared for his every need. It has been difficult for her to see him have to go on a liquid diet as he just kept getting thinner and weaker. I can see Christ's love in her service to him. Thanks precious Marie for your love. Boyd has also stood by her side as a loyal support to be with his Father. It is a joy to see the love and care of all our children as they have all stepped up to do anything they could to help and comfort. Thanks from a grateful Mother. I love you all!!!!

An Unexpected Journey

At Christmas time Sam and Neil looked to handsome. Then Sam got a stomach ache and after loosing 20 pounds we took him to the ER.
A scan was done and cancer of liver and pancreas was discovered. He has always taken good care of himself and had good nutrition. He has not been sick for over 50 years. But now he has maybe 6 months to live. All of our 9 children are coming around to comfort and visit their Father.
Marie has been a great fighter for her Dad.
She has come to care for him each day, while her son Spencer age 14 has helped care for his 4 younger brothers. Boyd, Kent, & Clark's families and most of the grandchildren that are near have come to visit. The rest of the children are making plans to come home for a visit to see their Daddy. It is a joy to have them around. Grandpa Curtis, age 94 has just arrived and many others have shared their love and prayers for our family. We so much appreciate all of you. We love you all. Many thanks for your prayers and concern.

Hancock Family Reunion July 2011

What a joy it was to have 8 of our 9 children at the reunion for a picture. But this picture was taken when some had not yet arrived. They are all grown up now and most have families of their own. We sure love all of them. We now have 42 grandchildren and 3 great with one more on the way. Our life is full of blessing beyond measure.

Birthday Party for Mae Lisonbee in Provo 2011

It was so fun to see a few long lost cousins on my Mother's Lisonbee side of our family.
My Mothers youngest sister Winona had a daughter named Zena. She is in the green blouse by Sam. Zena's 2 children are Sherry, in black and Doug along with his wife.
